NRMA Insurance partners with the NSW Police Force and local councils to combat burglary and car theft at the neighbourhood level.
Localised programs in Redfern, Dubbo, Gosford and Shellharbour may include a mix of a mobile crime prevention van, community building projects, community education campaigns and mentoring for youth at risk.

- The NRMA Insurance Crime Prevention Van provides on-the-spot advice to approximately 600 people every month on how to reduce crime and stop it happening around their home and car
- In 2007, approximately 6000 people attended the 32 good neighbour events in Shellharbour
How we're helping
NRMA Insurance is working in partnership with the NSW Police Force and local councils to develop programs to address local crime issues. In developing these programs we have contributed data, employee expertise, employee time and funding.

Crime Prevention Van - provides practical advice and information on anti theft measures, including examples of inexpensive security measures

Operation Never Again - provides support to victims of break and enter to reduce the chance of it happening in the future

BizSafe - a joint NSW Police / NRMA Insurance commercial crime prevention program

Good Neighbour Program - provides opportunities for people to get to know their neighbours, as research shows that communities where people know each other are safer
