- Planet Ark National Tree Day is Australia's largest tree-planting community event.
- Over the past 10 years nearly 1 million volunteers have planted 7.5 million native trees and shrubs.
- 75% of our employees who participated said the day motivated them to do more to reduce their impact on the environment.
How we're helping
In 2007 more than 10,000 trees were planted on National Tree Day by our people, their friends and families. This will help to offset about 2,565 tonnes of CO2 (over the lifetime of the trees) which equates to 588 cars being taken off the road for one year*.
To ensure the ongoing maintenance and survival of the seedlings and trees planted we donated $5000 to the local Landcare groups responsible for the sites where we had a significant presence.

How you can help
Plant a tree. Planet Ark National Tree Day is held every year on the last "Saturday" in July. It's a great community event where you can get your hands dirty and help the environment.
